Un pintxo (pronunciar punxo) és com es denomina tradicionalment a una petita llesca de pa o qualsevol altre material comestible o no, sobre la qual es col·loca una petita ració de menjar subjecte o no amb escuradents o de qualsevol una altra manera. Pot menjar-se calent o frio. Sol ser consumit completament en dues o tres bocades. Normalment se serveix amb vi, sidra, cervesa o txakoli, la qual cosa li dóna al menjar un toc agradable i plaent.  aperitiu

Un pintxo (prononcer pintcho) se compose d'une petite tranche de pain ou tout autres matériels comestibles ou non , sur lesquels un ingrédient ou un mélange d'ingrédients sont placés et attachée ou non avec un cure-dent ou par tout autre moyen. Il peut être consommé chaud ou froid. Il ne devrait pas prendre plus de deux ou trois bouchées pour être totalement consommé.
